True Skate iOS Support

True Skate is available the following devices: iPhone (3Gs and better), iPod Touch (3rd gen and better), iPad (All).

Refund policy

Please direct all refund requests to Apple. We do not have the ability to issue refunds.

Missing skateparks

If Skateparks are missing, there may be a problem with your In-App Purchases, please go to the Store in the True Skate menu, and check if the skate parks are marked as purchased. If the purchases are missing, please try pressing "Restore Purchases button" and wait for purchases to be restored. Also, check the bellow In-App Purchases and Downloads Failed section for Help.

In-app purchases or downloads failed

There are various things that can go wrong with In-App Purchases and skatepark downloads. These are generally iTunes bugs or connection issues that can affect all apps and there is nothing we can do to fix it, however, the bellow suggestions usually help.
  • First make sure you have the latest version of True Skate from the App Store.
  • Updating to the latest version of iOS may help.
  • Make sure In-App Purchases are enabled in your devices settings menu, usualy found under General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases
  • Make sure you are logged into the correct iTunes account.
  • If your device is jailbroken, make sure you remove any extra IAP cracking software you may have installed. Note: In some cases, cracking software may have to be completely removed, not just disabled. In some cases, a factory reset of your device may be necessary.
  • Make sure your device has a connection to the internet.
  • Try pressing the Restore Purchases button in the True Skate store and wait to see if all purchases are restored, and skateparks downloaded.
  • Try logging out of the App Store, then try again. Instructions:
    • Go to your devices settings menu.
    • Go to iTunes & App Store.
    • Tap on your Apple ID.
    • Tap "Sign Out".
    • The above procedure may be slightly different depending on the iOS version.
  • Try restarting your device. Instructions:
    • Hold down the power button down and till the power off menu appears.
    • Swipe the screen as instructed to power off.
    • Tap the power button to turn back on.
    • Waiting a couple minuits before turning back on may help.
    • The above procedure may be slightly different depending on the iOS version.
  • Try loging out of the App Store, and restarting your device, then try again.
  • If the above does not help, trying mutliple times can help.
  • Trying again at a day later time may help.
  • Note: All the purcahses in True Skate are once only. You can make the same purchase multiple times with out being chared more then once.
  • Note: We limit the number of times you can start a download in 24 hours.
  • Upgrading to the latest version of iOS may help.
  • Downloads may not work while using with an iOS8 Beta. This appears fixed in iOS8 Beta 4.
  • If all else fails, then factory reseting your device should help.
  • If nothing here helps please report the problem to apple following the instructions here. Be sure to let them know that the developer was unable to help.

True Skate gets stuck on the loading screen

We haven't heard any reports about this in a long time, so it may be fixed, however, in the past people had troubles starting the game sometimes, and the below advice could help.

Please try the following:
  • Restart True Skate and try again. (Find intructions to restart True Skate below)
  • If that fails, try again multiple times. Some users have reported that game crashes 9 out 10 times when loading.
  • If that fails, make sure you have the latest version of True Skate and try again.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.
  • A factory reset may also possibly help.

Previous versions of True Skate had some connectivity issues preventing the game from starting that could possibly be helped by trying the following:
  • Disable iCloud Support and try again..
  • Log out of Game Center, then try again.
  • Turn off wifi and turn on flight mode and try again.

Restarting the phone, or reinstalling the app may not help. If you still can't get it to work, we will continue looking into how to fix this.

True Credits or customization lost

When not using iCloud, True Credits and Skateboard Customization are stored locally. Custom skateboard images are always storted locally. We do our best to back the data up and automatically restore in case of corruption, however, in rare cases it still may be possible for something to go wrong and we cannot guarantee your data. Unfortunately, in this case, we have no way to restore your data, however we may be able to gift you some True Credits. True Credits have no relation to real world money.

Restore Purchases does not mean refund purchases

The Restore Purchases button will recover all previously made purchases. It does not mean refund. Restoring purchases is helpful when installing onto a new device which is using the same iTunes account, or when purchases have gone missing. This is standard terminology for the App Store.

Transferring purchases is not supported

We use Google Play to keep track of purchases, and while it is possible to transfer purchases to a new Android device with the same Google Play account, it is unfortunately not possible to transfer purchases from an iTunes account.

Ollie height

Some people find the ollies unrealisticaly high and floaty, that is why we added realistic mode. It can be found by hiting the Menu button in the top left, then going to Help & Options->Options->Realistic Mode. Note that some parts of the game such as missions are disabled in realistic mode.

Quick session marker access

Holding down the reset button for a short time will cause the a Session Marker menu to appear.
